Sifting It All

Welcome to 2006! This year, Marilyn's Bakery celebrates 20 years of business. Since 1986, we've made lots of changes, but the important things have remained the same: we've always offered excellent customer service and the highest-quality homemade baked goods around. Now, it's time to thank the customers who have made our first 20 years of success possible-and to celebrate with new recipes and exciting events that will guide us into an even more delicious future. All year long, watch for monthly giveaways, specials, and events that will keep you coming back for more!

First, help us kick off festivities with February's "Beat the Winter Blues" celebration--and enter to win an incredible weekend escape to Chicago's world-famous House of Blues! One lucky winner will enjoy Saturday night accommodations for two at the luxurious House of Blues Hotel, and two complementary tickets to their sensational Sunday Gospel Brunch! Feast on fabulous live music, an incredible southern-style buffet brunch, and included champagne toast at noon! This exciting prize package is worth over $280, and raffle tickets are just $1 each or 6 for $5!

And join us at the bakery's season reopening on February 1st! We'll celebrate with plenty of blues music and free tastes of our fresh-from-the-oven baked goods--including some mouthwatering new brownies--all designed to help you melt that winter chill! And just in time for Valentine's Day, try our homemade tiramisu, rich with the romantic flavors of coffee, milk chocolate, and cream. This decadent dessert is perfect for sharing with that special someone, but indulge while you can-our tiramisu will be available through February only!

Why not share the warmth of our 20th Anniversary with the world? This February, Marilyn's Bakery introduces a new way to help people one dessert at a time. Our delicious fair trade coffee has been warming our customers-and helping coffee farmers--for years, and now at Marilyn's Bakery, you can enjoy fair trade chocolate, too! Every purchase of these fair trade treats supports ethical farming and trade practices that benefit us all. So enjoy our coffee and chocolate, and help farmers and their families, too!

We've got a great year ahead, so watch for more giveaways, events, and special offers throughout 2006! Stay up-to-date by signing up now for our e-newsletter-- and help us celebrate 20 years of unique homemade traditions at Marilyn's Bakery!

We are closing for the holidays on December 24th and will re-open in February.

Have a happy and safe holiday season!
