Cupcakes for a CauseT

Take time out to indulge your sweet tooth this week. From now until October 22, 2006, you can help support the CancerCare for Kids® program by purchasing Cupcakes for a CauseT treats at participating bakeries across the country.

Each bakery will donate a portion of their proceeds from the sale of Cupcakes for a CauseT in support of CancerCare's services for children and parents affected by cancer. This week Marilyn's Bakery will have cupcakes available at our regular price of $6.99 dozen and will donate $3.00/dozen to CancerCare for Kids®. Marilyn's Bakery has committed to a minimum donation of at least $500.00. Help us make a difference!

 Coming up: Sunday October 22, 2006 Marilyn's Bakery will be donating $2.00 to the Visiting Nurses Association for every pie purchased in the store. This is a great time to stock your freezer and help a great organization. Thanksgiving is just around the corner, so order your frozen pies, you'll beat the crowds for the holidays and help a great organization.

And still: Keep on your calendar Saturday November 4, 2006. We will celebrate our 20th Anniversary with our 1st Annual Holiday Open House. Enjoy samples and coupons as you discover all that we have to offer for your holiday parties and gift giving.

All Season - Visit us at your local farmers market

Robert sells large and small pies and seasonal nutbreads in a variety of locations to bring the farm culture to you. You are welcome to call Marilyn's Bakery 219-962-BAKE and place your order to guarantee your pie.  Please note, orders need to be paid in advance which includes pies and nutbreads.  Special orders and refrigerated items are not available to the Farmer’s Market. 

Sundays: Frankfort, IL  10 am – 2 pm in Historic Frankfort

Tuesdays: Lincoln Square, Chicago 7 – 1 CTA station Western and Wilson

Thursdays: Hyde Park, Chicago 52nd and Harper 7 - 1

Saturdays: Chesterton. IN Chamber Parking Lot on Broadway and 1st , 8 am – 2 pm   

April - Marilyn's Birthday and Earth Day

April 22: Come have a piece of cake with Marilyn. Also on sale Earth Cakes and Earth Pies, stop in to see what we're doing.

June - Strawberry Fest

Stawberry Madness is June 14th!

July - Blueberry Season & Dinner on the Terrace

July is the start of Blueberry Season! Be sure to come to Marilyn's Bakery for our homemade Blueberry items!

Dinner on the Terrace will continue again this season with Sunday evening dinners at 6:30pm on July 13, 20, 27 and September 7, 14, 21, 28. More info >

August - Harvest Fest

Thanks for joining us at our First Annual Harvest Fest, we hope to see you again next year!

Join us Tuesday, August 12th from 10am-4pm for a day to learn how to prepare for the winter with canning, preserving, freezing, and drying seminars. In order to update the community on the latest preservation best practices. We will also have local foods available for lunch such as pork sandwiches from Birky Farms and free corn from Johnsons Farm. Help us bring our community together for a day of harvest celebration! October 20th-26th- Cupcakes For A Cause

Thank You for your participation in Cupcakes For A Cause this year! It was a great success. We raised over $500 for Cancer Care For Kids!

Cupcakes for a Cause supports the Cancer Care organization. Cancer Care is an organization who helps children relieve the emotional pain and confusion of having a family member or themselves affected by cancer.
